Fun & Creativity
Art
Through their art, children express how they feel, think and view the world. Through art children use their creativity to plan, design and construct an idea. They experiment with form, line, movement, shapes and spatial relationships.
Music
Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. For children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills. There is no downside to bringing children and music together through fun activities. We are able to enjoy the benefits of music from the moment we’re born.
Movement
Variety of rhythmical, expressive, creative and culturally appropriate dance experiences designed with children's motor, cognitive, emotional and social abilities in mind. Teachers encourage children to use their imagination and move to the sound of their individual rhythms. When children engage in any physical activity, they explore the world around them. This helps them process and understand complex information which helps in early child development.
Language
Support early language development. Understanding meaning, sharing feelings and needs, connecting with others, processing new information, solving problems and understanding society's expectations.
Mathematics
Hands-on learning activities that creates a solid foundation for children to understand shapes, sizes, length, addition, and subtraction. It's more than just about learning numbers. In early childhood, helps develop critical thinking and reasoning skills early on and it's the key to the foundation for success in their formal schooling years.
Outside Play
A great way to model the joy of physical activity. Children build gross motor skills and start developing a habit of being active. Which in turn, boosts their physical health; improves their mental well-being; improves their attention behaviors, self-regulation, and working memory; and can improve their executive functioning.
